This year we bought our first family car. This has been a huge time saver and convenience for family with the ability to pick up the kids easier to the ability to grocery shop (it is not always easy in NYC). Another huge part of having a car is having the opportunity to plan weekend getaways.
This past weekend we enjoyed a fun and beautiful adventure to the Poconos where we visited the Woodloch Family Resort. Located in Hawley, PA, our adventure to Woodloch started at home where we installed our new Platinum Symphony™ DLX All-In-One Car Seat from Evenflo.
Hosted by The Moms, we were given the opportunity to test out this new car seat that I used with my toddler. Featuring a sleek black fabric, we placed our daughter in the car seat to adjust the harness. I loved how easy that was thanks to its SureLATCH® Technology that provides a secure and simply installation in less than 60 seconds. Having tried out many car seats this one was by far the easiest install, which is so helpful with a wiggly toddler.
Once in the seat, she said how comfortable it was thanks to its OUTLAST® Performance fabric that actually absorbs hot AND cold temperatures, so your child will never be too hot or too cold in their seat. Other features that I loved were that it included e3 Side Impact™ protection and the ability to converts to a booster seat where a child could be in the seat from 5 pounds to 110 pounds! This all-in-one system is great for parents to just have one car seat and not have to worry about purchasing multiple seats for their kids.
On the road she feel asleep in the seat and I loved how the seat offered her neck and head so much protection that was actually designed and tested for structural integrity at approximately 2X the federal crash test standard. It also has these cool Buckle Pockets that tuck the buckle tongues away — making it easier and safer to get a child in and out of the seat. These pockets also protect the buckles from getting hot as they eliminate buckle burns and lost buckles. No more digging around for lost buckles or hot buckle tongues during warm weather that can burn your child.
Once we were safely at Woodloch the girls were all about the pool. We ate a delicious lunch with the Evenflo team and then quickly changed into our bathing suits where we enjoyed hours in their indoor pool. Being that it was cold and rainy out this was the perfect activity for the kids where they can switch from the cool splash pad to the warm toddler pool to the traditional pool. It was never too crowded and the pool also included a sauna, hot tub and a bar for the adults.

The evening was about a fun 80s-themed dinner where we were greeted by characters like Hulk Hogan, Strawberry Shortcake, Belle and more. Following the dinner, there was an 80s-themed parade where more characters came out to greet the kids. It was a riot as we all loved how we would never experience this in NYC - making it so perfect and truly unique. We spent our evenings in the game room where we played bumper cars.
The next day we enjoyed a full breakfast. The beauty of Woodloch is that the food is all-inclusive so we had the chance to really have what each of us loved. The rest of the afternoon was spent in the indoor forest, and of course, back at the pool. We were so sad to have to leave but the memories from this fun weekend will last a lifetime - especially as they kids talked about how much fun they had.
As for our rooms, we loved how spacious they were with 2 bathrooms, 2 bed, tons of closets, a fridge and a balcony overlooking the lake. If we were to say longer this would be ideal to pack additional food as well as have the space to relax in-between activities.
A great place to revive, take a break and travel safely our weekend away was filled with memories, laughs and so much fun that we can't wait to visit again very soon.
Momtrends was not paid for this post. We were given a car seat and a complimentary overnight stay at Woodloch for our review.
Thank you to the Moms and Evenflo for this experience.
