In the midst in our busy and somewhat hectic lives, we realized that although our family of five spends time together, it has not been the kind of quality time we have been craving. We needed time to unplug, reconnect, and have fun just doing what we enjoy most...being together. We headed to the Hyatt Regency Resort at Chesapeake Bay and all it took was the drive into the resort to immediately feel the stress that daily life throws at us, melt away.
The entrance brings you into the resort through a beautiful preserve, full of trees, bustling animals and streams of water. Nothing like a bit of nature to set the mood for a family retreat. The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay offers so many amenities that it makes a perfect stay for families, a destination wedding, a family reunion or even those looking for a romantic couples getaway.
With an 18 hole golf course, full marina as well as a private beach, with an indoor and outdoor pool and several dining options, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay is an all encompassing resort that lets you unwind, relax and engage in activities that are perfect for those that enjoy a healthy lifestyle.
The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay resort offers billiards, a lounge area with plenty of big screen TVs, a game room, mini golf, frisbee golf as well as our favorite, the giant chess and checker boards which we enjoyed while we indulged in the nightly DIY s'mores. (Who could beat that?!) When we needed to catch up on a little work (yes, had to squeeze a little in there!), we found the business center to be accommodating complete with fax, copy machine and desktop computers and printers.
As a family of five, we stayed in a suite and felt the accommodations were plenty. We enjoyed having two bathrooms, a mini kitchenette complete with microwave, sink and mini fridge and plenty of closet space with an entryway that corralled all of our stuff and kept our living space clutter-free. It was a perfect spot to park the stroller and kick off our muddy rain boots. We thoroughly enjoyed our movie in night complete with delicious room service, which our family argues just might have served the best chili we've tasted.
The staff at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay was committed to making sure each and every guest's needs were met. They were more than helpful, greeted us with smiles and happy to extend themselves on our behalf. The excellent customer service only added to the peace and harmony we felt throughout our stay.
