A few weeks ago my daughter and I had the chance to check out the spectacular Annie on Broadway (check out our review here). I loved seeing the music live that I loved so much growing up and sharing that special moment with my daughter - who now also knows all of the words from the show. Part of this night out also allowed us to meet the some members of the cast, see rehearsals and learn about the history of the Palace Theatre. We loved meeting Daddy Warbucks (Anthony Warlow), Annie (Lilla Crawford) and even Miss Hannigan (Katie Finneran) said hi in-between rehearsals. This unique moment was truly magical and gave us a memorable sneak-peek.
This incredible moment was all a part of the unique programming from Starwood Preferred Guest( SPG) and their Moment’s program, an exclusive program for SPG members in which hard-earned Starpoints can be transformed into one of a kind experiences.
In addition to this experience, guests can also enjoy experiences around the world like musical experiences with Gavin DeGraw, a VIP meet and greet with Rod Stewart, dinner with Chef Daniel Bouland at Daniel, or the chance to announce 'Play Ball' at a Chicago Cubs Game (to name a few).
To learn more about this program, I had the chance to chat with the team at Starwood who spoke about how exciting these experiences are for travelers and families alike.
Momtrends: How do you decide what experiences to offer your members?
Starwood: Our members are at the heart of SPG. We spend a lot of time listening and learning what’s most important to them. Music, fine dining and sports are the areas that come through loud and clear as areas of intense interest…along with our hotels, of course! Based on their interests, we leverage our unique relationships with partners like Live Nation, Broadway, Cirque du Soleil, the Chicago Cubs and others to create experiences for our members to share with those most important to them—their friends, family, and loved ones. Our goal is to provide an experience that creates a memory and provides much more than simply tickets to an event.

Momtrends: What has been the reaction to the Annie experience?
Starwood: Annie is a legend, and we’re thrilled to have been able to offer unlimited access and VIP treatment for our guests when they went to see Annie on Broadway—from early entrance to great seats and a backstage meet and greet with the actors. We’re able to tailor our events to make them special whether it’s a family affair, date or night out with friends.
Annie in particular was a great moment for children; we brought the show to life by giving members and their families an opportunity to meet the cast, take music lessons from the musical director to channel their inner Annie and even learn about the costumes.
