New York City’s most iconic hotel, The Plaza, is embarking on an exciting new journey with Random House Children’s Booksand author Mary Pope Osborne, creator of the Magic Tree Houseseries, which this year celebrated its 20th anniversary. As the first of its kind, this literary partnership provides boys and girls the opportunity to set off from the historic hotel to explore the big apple as inspired by the books. Friends of Jack and Annie will visit real life penguins and other creatures from Antarctica on a trip to the local-favorite Central Park Zoo, receive a signature pin to wear during their stay, and enjoy a custom welcome treat upon arrival . Extending the partnership throughout the building, a variety of books from the Magic Tree House series and other items will be sold in the Eloise at The Plaza shop and books will be available in other languages upon request with advance notice.
From Eloise to The Knights of The Plaza, the hotel has long been a leader in innovative family experiences. The launch of the partnership with the Magic Tree House continues the commitment to entertaining and educating even the youngest guests. The Plaza Family Ambassador is on hand for all guests and able to assist with arranging experiences around the city, from private shopping tours at FAO Schwarz and custom guides of the city’s best playgrounds, to access to museum exhibits and activities that will bring out the carefree child in everyone.
