Yesterday, Baby Buggy threw one of New York Citys biggest family charity events: The 2013 Baby Buggy Bedtime Bash. This years family-fun party featured carnival rides, arts and crafts, face painting and other kid-friendly activities and raised over $460,000, the largest sum to date.
Baby Buggy was honored to welcome many fathers and children from Baby Buggys grantee sites, The Bronx Fatherhood Program and Fathers First Program in the Rockaways, as VIP guests. The Fathers First Program, which was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, provides the men enrolled with the counseling and training they need to be strong and stable caregivers. Baby Buggy provides these dads with essential items including diapers and cribs to ensure the health and safety of their children.
Baby Buggy, founded in 2001, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing families in need with essential equipment, products, clothing, and services for their infants and children up to age 12. With an extensive network of community-based organizations across the country, Baby Buggy has donated over 6 million items to thousands of children. Follow on Twitter @LoveRecycled.
