Tasti D-Lite, the lower-calorie frozen dessert chain with a fanatical following among health-conscious consumers as well as celebrities, will celebrate 25 years in September. A mayoral proclamation will recognize Friday, Sept. 7 as Tasti D-Lite Day in New York City. Tasti D-Lite will also offer a small cup or cone for 25 cents at all of their locations Sept. 7. Tasti D-Lite is adding a new flavorbirthday cakefrom Sept. 3 through the end of the month.

The winner will receive hotel and airfare for two to his or her choice of one of Tasti D-Lites flagship cities: New York City, Miami Beach, Fla., or Nashville, Tenn.
Additionally on Sept. 7, Tasti D-Lite will release its first book called The Tasti D-Lite Way: Social Media Marketing Lessons for Building Loyalty and a Brand Customers Crave. The book is authored by CEO and Chairman Jim Amos and Vice President of Technology B.J. Emerson. It offers advice on social media marketing based on Tasti D-Lites experience; Tasti D-Lite has been at the forefront of using social media in the quick-serve restaurant industry.
