Tasti D-Lite, the lower-calorie frozen dessert chain with a fanatical following among health-conscious consumers as well as celebrities, will celebrate 25 years in September. A mayoral proclamation will recognize Friday, Sept. 7 as Tasti D-Lite Day in New York City. Tasti D-Lite will also offer a small cup or cone for 25 cents at all of their locations Sept. 7. Tasti D-Lite is adding a new flavor—birthday cake—from Sept. 3 through the end of the month.
Fans can enter to be the “Biggest Tasti Fan” at www.biggesttastifan.com. Video submissions and written submission (250 words or less) will be accepted. The winner will receive hotel and airfare for two to his or her choice of one of Tasti D-Lite’s flagship cities: New York City, Miami Beach, Fla., or Nashville, Tenn.
Additionally on Sept. 7, Tasti D-Lite will release its first book called The Tasti D-Lite Way: Social Media Marketing Lessons for Building Loyalty and a Brand Customers Crave. The book is authored by CEO and Chairman Jim Amos and Vice President of Technology B.J. Emerson. It offers advice on social media marketing based on Tasti D-Lite’s experience; Tasti D-Lite has been at the forefront of using social media in the quick-serve restaurant industry.
