When you're building your daughter's summer wardrobe, you don't want to forget about her shoes. I often start with one of my favorite pairs of shoes and build from there...And I find myself doing the same when dressing my lil' lady bean. One of my recent big scores for her was a pair of textured metallic Freshly Picked moccasins. I must admit, I have a bit of a Freshly Picked addiction, but honestly, she has worn all her moccasins more than any other shoes in her collection. Considering the array of colors and prints that they come in, their styling options are limitless, which the fashion enthusiast in me loves of course. Plus, they add a boho chic kind of vibe to her ensembles...Who doesn't love a little boho chic action? My mini me and I sure do!
So, let's talk summer metallics...If you choose carefully, you can get away with just a few versatile pairs of shoes for the whole season. It doesn't really get much more versatile than metallics. Metallic sandals, or moccasins as I so often turn to, go with everything from dresses to shorts and can really round out your little one's closet. In addition to her new metallic mocs, my daughter also has some gold Salt Water sandals that I can't get enough of. They're so classic, which is a nice contrast to her less traditional moccasins.
For today's featured look, I styled her metallic moccasins with a denim romper and simple floral headband. This is a more casual chic kind of outfit, but I can so see her metallic mocs being dressed up with a little white lace dress as well. Little white dresses are another summer love of mine. I know they're stain magnets, but I simply can't resist how sweet my baby girl looks in them...In fact, I just might have to be on the lookout for a new one. Summer's just beginning after all!
So, if you're going to pick up one pair of summer shoes...I say, go the metallic route! You can't beat multi-purpose anything in my book!
