We are so excited for the summer season, and to help us with some party prep for the kids we consulted with author, entertaining expert and blogger Mrs. Lilien. From games to fun and unique tips, here are some of Mrs. Lilien's favorite summertime activities.
Hosting a Summer Game Night: With entertaining season around the corner, we know that there will be a calendar of get togethers on the horizon. Host an interactive outdoor game night to be the must-attend party for your friends and family! (Tips can include: Setting up a projector and screen to play the new Draw Something 2 game on a big screen, Use creative drink dispensers so that the host can enjoy themselves, Create game stations for guests at a picnic table, etc.)
Travel Tips for the Family: During the peak travel season, having some tricks up your sleeve to keep the whole family entertained will come in handy. Prepare before you embark on a family trip with fool-proof ways to keep everyone happy while traveling. (Tips can include: Create playlists with tunes that everyone can enjoy and some hand-selects from each family member. For those 13 and above, you can play Start a Draw Something 2, Words with Friends, or Whats the Phrase game amongst the travelers, etc.)
How to Make Your Block Party (or BBQ) Sizzle: If the traditional BBQ or Block Party is starting to feel routine, switch it up with some fun new activities. Stick with a theme that has something to offer for all participants. (Tips can include: Create a signature cocktail or mocktail tied to the theme of the party; Host a farm-to-table event with picnic tables, farm-themed bites, and games. Start farms of your own with the new FarmVille 2 game where you can farm-on-the-go with friends, etc.)
