As a mom of two (almost three), my days are long and busy. I wouldn't trade it for anything, but I also know that I need to be energized and alert for work and my kids. This starts with an early day where the kids and I get ready with our sometimes frantic morning routine. This starts where we all sit down for our morning breakfast. I never used to be much of a breakfast eater before kids but now it is a priority! I need the proper fuel to be energized throughout the day as well as to start my day feeling great. It is also an example that I want to instill in my kids; how healthy habits and healthy food are integral to feeling giving sustained energy that their growing minds and bodies require.

Staying Energized with Cheerios

With the busyness of the morning, one of our favorite breakfast options is simple bowl of Cheerios with Almond milk and berries such as blueberries and strawberries. This is the best way for us to get a no-fuss complete breakfast where the kids and I enjoy an oat-rich cereal that is packed with flavor and health benefits. My favorite is the Original Cheerios as a fantastic source of whole grains, fiber, calcium and 12 vitamins and minerals. My favorite benefit is also that it only has 1 gram of sugar per serving, so I know I won't crash before lunchtime. I also really like the new Cheerios Protein Oats, a new way to fuel your day with toasted O's, granola clusters and honey that delivers a whopping 11 grams of protein (with milk).

Powered by Oats, the Cheerios line also features other delicious and healthy options like Honey Nut Cheerios, Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch, Cheerios Protein Oats and Honey, Apple Cinnamon Cheerios and Frosted Cheerios to keep your energy up all day long. The kids really love the Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch with its fun combination of classic Os and crunchy flakes. This variety is also packed with 17 grams of whole grains as well as calcium and vitamin D. Not only that, I love that Cheerios packs some many benefits (thanks to the oats) where it offers kids crunch, health, energy, flavor and sustainable fuel that makes breakfast-making (and eating) a breeze.

While our days are long and busy, there is a huge relief that we can start off our day on the right foot by eating healthy and easy breakfast options from Cheerios.
