At Momtrends we are lucky to be connected to so many brands. A lot of that means getting to learn about smaller and new brands that offer something truly special and unique in their given category. From beauty to food to organization, here is a recap of some of the smaller brands that we love.
Wyatt Lily: Living in NYC, we love that we are connected to so many fashion brands and companies. This also includes small and growing companies and one of our favorites for kids is the Upper West Side store, Wyatt Lily. During a recent visit, I loved checking out their collection of beautiful clothing, specialty gifts, plush toys, books and monogrammed items. They also have a high-end consignment section where they accept unused and lightly worn items for boys and girls sizes 0-6 yrs. My favorite part of the store was the high-end clothing where I discovered a mix of classic, whimsical, and modern pieces.
Just Pretend Kids: My daughter is deep into the world of imaginative play where she loves to dress up and call herself a princess. One of her favorite princess outfits is from Just Pretend Kids, a new company that makes high quality dress up costumes that inspire children to explore and celebrate their own creative spirit. This includes a bright and lively pieces where kids can be a princess, pirate or dragon. She loves the Nina Fuchsia Tutu and the Chloe Bodysuit Fuchsia that she uses to create a magical world that is all her own.
PocketDerm: Technology is changing the way we do everything - including how we fill prescriptions. One new way to have your dermatologist-prescribed acne treatment to your home is with PocketDerm, a service where you can connect with a licensed dermatologist and get a powerful, personalized acne product that’s only available with a doctor’s prescription. After signing up at PocketDerm.com, patients answer a few simple questions and securely upload photos of their skin. Then a board-certified dermatologist reviews the file and prescribes a personalized acne product based on the patient’s specific needs. The product arrives at the patient’s doorstep within a few days and the membership is priced at $29.95 per month
The Gnarly Whale: We are loving the collection of 100% vegan and cruelty free products from The Gnarly Whale. This includes a line of body care and hair items with some of our favorites being the Coconut Banana Lip Balm, Apricot Creme Beach Waves and the Cucumber-Melon-Body-Spray that will leave you smelling great with no chemicals.
Happy Caterpiller: It is officially gardening season and what better way to get the kids involved than with their very own gardening kit. We love the cute Happy Caterpiler set that includes a shovel, a trowel, and a cultivator, plus a very durable gardening bag that is soft, durable and perfect for little hands.

Uncle Steve’s Italian Specialties: Many people know Steve Schirripa for his role on HBO's The Sopranos, but food was always close to his heart where he recently launched UncleSteve’s ItalianSpecialties, an ode to the aroma of tomatoes, garlic and olive oil simmering on his mother’s Brooklyn stove. This includes a variety of sauces that are USDA certified organic, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, and contains no added sugar in three delicious flavors: Marinara, Tomato Basil and zesty Arrabiata. I recently tested this out and I loved tasting the fresh tomatoes and basil that was simmered with vegetables and infused with spices. It was a delicious way to serve up a quick and healthy meal that got rave reviews from the kids.
Hatch: We love this new online marketplace that enables shoppers to put their own creative spin on any product they see and have it made-to-order just for them. How it works is they connect people to independent makers through their platform, which makes ordering unique or personalized items easy. This includes beautiful pieces like the Custom Artichoke Pendant Paper Lights & Lanterns and the Eco Friendly Bamboo Serving Board.
Pink Zebra: There is something so special to coming home to a sweet-smelling home. One of my favorite ways to add some scent to the home is with the collection of sprinkles from Pink Zebra. My personal favorite is Apricot Ginger that I love to place in small jars throughout my home. Other flavors in the line include Mom's Lemon Bars, Beach Breeze, Oatmeal Raisin Cookie and more where you can discover the perfect scent for you.
Tidy Tote: I always used to carry around a plastic bag when my daughter's where in diapers. A new eco friendly way to store dirty clothes, burb clothes, diapers, and more is with the reusable drawstring totes called the TidyTote. This includes a line of fun prints like a Butterfly, Baby, Train and Baby in a Buggy. We also love that the TidyTote allows you to pull out the inner lining for a quick rinse or just throw it in the wash.
