With summer approaching there is more of a relaxed vibe when it comes to eating out. While I love homecooking, I do love the idea of picnics in the park and road trips where I won't always be next to my kitchen. One of my favorite quick and healthy options is the collection of food boxes from Revolution Foods Meal Kits. Created by Kristin Groos Richmond and Kirsten Saenz Tobey, Revolution Foods offers families a quick and healthy option featuring everyday favorites like turkey & cheddar, ham & cheddar, cheese pizza and peanut butter & jelly. This includes a line that is not made with anything artificial, no high fructose corn syrup, rBST-free milk, and always includes a serving of fruit.

My daughter loves their turkey and cheddar line as well as the pizza line that we have been making on the weekends. It is a great option for quick meals that provides nourishment to children.

They are also currently in schools that also happen to be my daughter's school lunch option that currently serves one million freshly prepared meals every week to K-12 schools nationwide. Tip #1 Stock up on grab-and-go lunches and snacks: Don’t scramble to pack your kid’s lunch in the morning. Instead keep your refrigerator stocked with ready to go options like Revolution Foods Meal Kits that help save time without sacrificing nutrition and quality. Also, try pre-cutting fruits and vegetables (a week’s worth in one go!) or freezing yogurt in ice trays for healthy snacks that last all week.

Tip #2 Take “me time” to regroup in the morning: Quality time with your family is important, but never underestimate the positive impact that “me time” can have on your family. The trick is finding an activity that your family enjoys and that works in your schedule.
