One Year and Counting...

A big milestone has come and gone and I didn't even notice! On January 22, The Shopping Mama turned 1! Woo hoo! In the days leading up to the 22nd I thought about what I'd write, but then the day came and went and I totally forgot.

Over the last year, I've written over 650 blog posts on The Shopping Mama. You've left over 49,600 comments. (More, actually. Some were lost in the switch from Blogger to WordPress in November.) I've had amazing opportunities: the ABC Kids Expo, talking to Annabel Karmel, joining the Blogger Advisory Board, to name a few. (There are far too many to name everything!)

Most importantly, for me, the blog has been an outlet and a way to connect with other moms. It's a way to feel productive while staying at home with my kids. I love that the blog is MINE and all mine. It's a great source of pride for me and I work very hard every day to make it something I'm proud of. But, honestly, I am most thankful for the connections I've made and the friendships I've developed because of the blog - with old friends and those I've never met in person.
