Dutch baby brand Nuna is built on a simple premise: "that baby products should take some of the work out of being new parents, so people can actually enjoy being new parents." Now that is an idea we can get behind. A couple months ago, we shared the brilliant simplicity of the Nuna Leaf baby lounger - which, by the way, is a runaway hit with moms on Pinterest - and now we're taking a closer look at the Nuna PEPP stroller, including a fun little video.
Nuna PEPP Review
We love the description of the PEPP that reflects how Nuna designers create products to fit into real life.
The smaller your bundle of joy, the more stuff you need to carry around. (It is a rule they never tell you.) Thank goodness the PEPP buggy is cleverly designed to think of everything, from an ultra-compact fold-in-half design to the ability to get around town with one hand (which is how you will be operating most days) to a full recline for on-the-go snoozes.

Nuna PEPP Features
First, there's no doubt that the Nuna PEPP has a distinct aesthetic. It's undeniably modern and reflects a functional mix between the convenience of a lightweight stroller with the features of a full-size. The base with six wheels provides a sturdy base; four wheels in front and two wide-set wheels in back.
If you're cramped for space, the PEPP folds in half for a narrow profile that allows the stroller to stand on its own. The small fold and relatively light weight (19 pounds), make the PEPP a great option for travel or to keep in your trunk or entryway closet. I also really like that you can pull the stroller by the handle to wheel it around while folded. Once folded, the PEPP stays compact with velcro closures on each side. To unfold, just undo the velcro and pull the handle up. Super quick and easy.
The seat has an adjustable leg support and three position recline. The seat adjusts based on a unique zipper system. Undo the outer zipper on each side to recline seat to the middle position. Unzip the next set and the seat reclines fully. The seat well around the footrest is made of a rugged material that is easy to wipe clean and withstand the little kicks and flicks of your child's feet.
To keep your child secure, the PEPP seat has a five point harness. The puzzle closure allows you to opt for a 3-point harness for older children.

The sunshade isn't huge, but there is an flip-out extender to provide extra shade. That and all the fabrics are better for baby certified Oeko-Tex®.
The one-touch brake is very flip-flop friendly and secures both rear wheels. The front wheel swivel lock provides a little more stability when pushing on rough terrain like gravel mulch, trails and, as we learned in Morocco, it's also helpful on stone city walkways. The tires are small in circumference but wide so they provide more stability than umbrella stroller wheels, for example. The handle bar is adjustable for parent's comfort and the curve of the bar allows for great one-handed maneuvering.
The basket is one of the weak points of the stroller as it's rather narrow. It fits a smaller diaper bag, but the basket is still disappointing compared to many of the strengths of the stroller.
The Bottom Line
The PEPP is a really fun stroller with a distinct look that is sure to turn heads. It's in a unique class all its own - bigger than an umbrella stroller, but without a few of the conveniences to compare it to a traditional full-size stroller. The velcro fold lock and zippered recline are a tad unorthodox and take more time than more traditional options, but work perfectly fine. The flat fold that allows the stroller to stand on its own and the lightweight make it a great option for travel and urban living.
