When I think of beauty, I am reminded of my interview with Nigel Barker, author of the Beauty Equation, who believes that beauty encompasses ten characteristics, one of them being confidence.

Watching our guest'??s confidence transform from the sweep of a brush and the curl of an iron was amazing. Everyone walked a little taller, conversed a little more and smiled a little brighter.
Take Kerri fromRaising Three Savvy Ladiesfor instance. She had a mini-hair makeover with Krister and just look at the result. Krister's expert hands and creative style shaped a fresh new look for Kerri. '??It'??s about you, your hair and your style,'? Krister says. After two years of struggling with various hairstyles and colors I went to see Kristerwho is not only a genius colorist and stylist, but a genuine, caring and most loveable person.

Mamma Mio staff were on hand to provide facial skincare consults and products for our guests. There is so much to love about this product, from the names, '??Love Your Lines,'? to the essential high protein ingredients. Mara from Mama Mio shared a few face fitness (why not, we keep our bodies fit don't we?) tips to keep our faces looking younger. Check out Mama Mio for the entire product lines and to see how fit your face is. Everyone was treated to free Mama Mio products. I personally am really loving the Love Your Lines eye cream. Thanks!

Following the treatments, guests listened to Dr. Tushar Patel, MD FACS, from thePlastic Surgery Center, who began his presentation by saying, '??Natural is key.'? Dr. Patel shared photos and information about the most common non-invasive and invasive procedures. Guests were delighted to learn that injectable fillers can last up to 2 years, averaging 6-10 months, a greater life span than Botox (3-4 months). Another popular subject was the Mommy Makeover, pairing a breast augmentation lift and a tummy tuck. Best news is that you don'??t have to have an augmentation if just want your breasts lifted and the C-section scar is removed with the tummy tuck. Guests received a $100 gift certificate to redeem for a botox or filler procedure. Yippee!

Teeth Whitening Tips
- Use an electric toothbrush such as Sonicare or Oral B. Great for kids too.
- Try OTC whitening products for adequate whitening between professional whitenings.
- Avoid home remedies that combine baking soda with any citric acid which can soften the enamel. Homemade peroxide mixtures can irritate gums. You're better off buying an OTC product with regulated ingredients.
- Watch out for these stain enemies: dark berries, coffee, tea, dark sodas, smoking, sticky/sugary foods, red wine.
Guests sipped refreshing unoaked wines from Simply Nakedwhile enjoying New York Cake Pops incredibly moist and not-to-sweet mini-lollipop shaped cakes on a stick. Both a sure thing for the next celebration in my home.
