As a mama, organizations that make it their mission to better the lives of children have a special place in my heart. Make-A-Wish definitely falls into that category. I can't think of a better purpose than granting the wishes of children with life threatening conditions. In my children's eyes I see more love than I ever imagined was possible. They make me feel so so loved and I will do everything in my power to make their wishes come true. Every kiddo deserves the chance to see their wishes come to fruition!
So, obviously I'm loving that Helzberg has partnered up with Make-A-Wish to donate $1.00 every time someone shares what makes them feel loved. Through this wonderful program, we all have the chance to help make wishes come true. Fifteen year old Hanna, for instance, longed to play with the Chicago Symphony. While undergoing treatment for a cancer called Ewing sarcoma, she still manages to practice her music for countless hours. Inspiring souls like Hanna are who you will be helping when you simply share what makes you feel loved!
Even as a non-musician, I recognize what an important role music can play in children's lives and I fully intend to expose them to the beauty of it very early on. I still remember the first time my mama took me to the symphony. I thought she looked so glamorous all dressed up and it was blissful sitting there in my own fancy frock letting the music wash over me. I can't wait to have a similar experience with my daughter! I can only imagine how much more magical it would be to actually play with the symphony and it warms my heart to think of young Hanna's wish becoming reality!
