Luxe Looks for Fall

As important as play clothes are to a kiddo's fall wardrobe, they also need at least a few nice pieces that can be called upon when a dress up occasion presents itself. I know when I'm back to school shopping I tend to focus on comfy clothes that the kids can wear to school and even comfier ones that they can play in after school...but now I need to add a few dress up looks to their wardrobes...just in case.

And that goes double for my lil' lady bean. As the first girl grandchild in our family, her wardrobe was pretty covered for the first couple of years of her life as my family couldn't resist shopping for her, but as soon as she hit two years old, it seemed like she had no clothes left. Haha! So, since she'll probably be attending a little toddler pre-school class soon, I went on a bit of a back to school shopping spree and her school appropriate looks are set, but now it's time to focus on the finer things...

It's not like we're putting on the ritz every day at my house, but there are nice dinners out, family parties, etc. that I want my kids to look extra special for...and on that note, I've gathered up some lovely pieces that would make the perfect finishing touches to any little lady's fall wardrobe. Every girl needs some sweet little dresses and cardies in her closet! Am I right? Children's Salon and Eden & Zoe have some gorgeous dress and cardigan options!

Speaking of cardies...One of the things I'm most excited about this fall is getting to shop for cashmere. Sadly, I'm allergic to cashmere, so I'm going to have to live vicariously through my daughter when she dons her cashmere cardy. If I can get her to wear a sweater that is. What is about kids not wanting to wear things that keep them warm? Haha!
