Kidz Central Station, a one-stop web portal where busy NYC parents can research, find and enroll their children in classes and activities is announcing their official Manhattan launch, with other New York City boroughs coming in February. Founded by a NYC mom and aunt, Kidz Central Station makes searching, finding and enrolling children in classes and activities painless.
Kidz Central Station allows parents to filter class searches by age, location, price, type of class as well as more specific options such as if the class is a “drop in”or does not require caregiver attendance. This helps helps parents minimize the time and effort spent on researching and enrolling their children in their daily classes and activities. The site is free for parents to use and has more than 1000 classes available for enrollment in the New York metro area, with new classes and providers being added daily. Some providers whose classes are available through the site include Kidville, Gymboree, as well as more independent providers such as Kids at Work, C.A.T.S., Taste Buds Kitchen and the Butch Seewagen Tennis Academy. Additionally, parents can find and enroll in in pre/post-natal and parent support classes.
“When I was on maternity leave I tried to find and sign up for a few classes for my children and found the whole process time-consuming, frustrating and antiquated. For starters, I had to visit each provider’s website, fill out the same form many different times, and often make phone calls due to no online booking capabilities. I couldn't believe that with so many websites dedicated to consolidating how people schedule their lives and the purchases they make, nothing was available for parents to manage one of the most time consuming things of all; their child’s class & activity schedule, “says Kidz Central Station Founder Lauren Pohl.

“As a working mom, I am always looking for activities and classes for my kid. This really cuts out all of the researching and saves valuable time which I never seem to have enough of. I especially think the reviews will be great because they will be from other parents, hence more valuable than a Google, Citysearch or even Yelp.” says Kim Miele, mother of a 10 month old.
