Welcome to spring! Check out an exclusive photo shoot that we styled with the new line of kids clothing from Kate Spade new york. After a fab collab with GAP, Kate Spade (the company) decided to go big with a childrenswear category for Spring 2015. This is the first time the fashion and lifestyle brand has offered a children’s category as a part of its ready-to-wear collection.

If you haven't noticed, Momtrends is investing more time and energy in exclusive photo shoots. We know you want the scoop on all the latest trends and stock images aren't going to cut it. That's why we're taking it to the streets of NYC to style our favorite trends. Since this line is just for girls 2-14 and we happen to have two of them, we decided to fashion a photo shoot. The two models happen to love clothes and books, so the setting was a natural!
Getting Back Quality Time with Family Game Night
Slowing down is a key to happiness. This is something that is both obvious but still very hard to do - especially with our busy lives. During a recent interview with happiness expert, sociologist and parent educator, Dr. Christine Carter I learned some tips on how to focus on ...read more
The Benefits of Creating a Family Fitness Routine

Mom Picks for Best Modern Wooden Play Gyms

We headed to our favorite shop in DUMBO, Brooklyn P.S.Bookshop. Owned by Yuval Gans, this shop is a key part of our vibrant community. They buy & sell used & rare books, first editions & reprints, fiction & non-fiction books. But they are so much more than a book store. Yuval led the first storytime my girls attended. He would read a few books and strum his guitar charming all the tots into a love of books and bookstores. He carries a wealth of children’s and young adults books and my girls love to peruse the shop. Sadly, he's come upon some financial difficulties. I thought this photo shoot was a great way to show my support and highlight his upcoming kickstarter campaign.
The girls were so comfortable in the store and it was a great spot to show off the Kate Spade pieces. The core group of the collection features signature bow elements, bejeweled collars and feminine ruffle details. Classic fit-and-flare dresses and skirts are designed with special occasions in mind, while printed shorts and rompers create versatile ensembles perfect for the playground.
