Last week, actress, mom and co-Founder of The Honest Company, Jessica Alba, along with her family and 40 Honest employee volunteers, teamed up with non-profit Baby2Baby for a community service day to remember. At the Baby2Baby offices the Honest volunteers unloaded an entire semi-truck of donations and packed over 160 gift bags created for The Children's Institute.
Additionally, Honest employees hand-delivered over 47,000 Honest family products (at a retail value of over $333,000) for distribution to Baby2Baby families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for their children up to age 12 within the Los Angeles community.. By distributing new and gently used items to over 50 non-profit organizations, Baby2Baby reaches over 50,000 children each year.
Jessica noted, "as we fight to lower our prices without compromising the health and sustainability of our design, we realize there are still many families who cannot afford The Honest Company experience." She added, "That's not cool with us. That's why with every product you purchase, The Honest Company donates product, money, time, and effort to addressing critical health & social issues affecting children and families."
She also noted that as they grow, that they will add additional charities to our list of beneficiaries, "because we firmly believe we must be an active part of transforming this world for the better."
