The NY Aquarium was devastated after Hurricane Sandy. This has been a long road to recovery, but the staff has worked continuously to maintain animal health and comfort. As they rebuild, they will be creating a plan to mitigate future flood damage and moving forward with a plan that includes the construction of the Ocean Wonders: Sharks! building, with exciting new exhibits and fascinating marine life.

The New York Aquarium is Brooklyn's largest tourist destination, a marine life hospital for the care of our animals, one of New York's beloved cultural institutions, and home to sharks, turtles, penguins, walruses, sea lions, harbor seals, and sea otters. And when its doors reopen, it will be because of the unprecedented support from government and thousands of individuals just like you – all of whom own a piece of this recovery story.

Give what you can to get the New York Aquarium back on its fins.
