Harry Potter fans can purchase tickets beginning today for the chance to step inside the famous wizards magical world with Harry Potter: The Exhibition, returning to Discovery Times Square on November 3. Since its hugely successful run in New York City in 2011, Harry Potter: The Exhibition has been updated significantly with artifacts from the film series, including the final film.
In addition to the hundreds of original props and costumes from the Harry Potter films displayed during the exhibitions first time in New York, which the New York Times described as quite bewitching, and making J.K. Rowlings universe palpably vivid, original artifacts from the series finale, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2, will be on display for the first time, including a new vignette dedicated to the epic battle of Hogwarts. Visitors can also celebrate the holidays at Harry Potter: The Exhibition, as the exhibition will be open during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays.
The 14,000-square-foot experiential exhibition, invites visitors to visit dramatic displays inspired by the Hogwarts film sets and see the amazing craftsmanship behind authentic costumes and props from the films. Harry Potter: The Exhibition offers fans a firsthand view of hundreds of artifacts displayed in settings inspired by the film sets including the Great Hall, Hagrid's hut, the Gryffindor common room, and more.
"We are pleased to offer New York residents and visitors this special holiday presentation of Harry Potter: The Exhibition, now with new and exciting additions from the final films, said James Sanna, President of Discovery Times Square. For the first time ever we have items from each film in one location. There is no better way to celebrate this iconic series than to actually walk among the costumes and props that helped bring this world to life.
The exhibition made its world premiere in Chicago in April 2009 before traveling on to Boston, Toronto, Seattle, New York and Sydney, and just concluded a successful run at Singapores ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands.
