With summer vacation approaching there will be a lot of trips and camps, which also means there will be a lot of portable meals and snacking. From healthy favorites to crunchy delights, here is what we will be munching on this summer.
1. Super Pop Snacks: We are a big popcorn family, and our favorite snack just got a fun upgrade with the launch of Super Pop Snacks. As an L.A.-based company, this fun snack line is a popcorn bar that made with either almond butter or peanut butter. This comes together in a delicious and chewy “marshmallow like” popcorn bar that is also made using superfoods such as: coconut oil, sweet potato, blueberries, flax meal, etc. My kids and I love this sweet treat that is non-GMO, whole grain, vegan, low glycemic, zero trans fats & wheat free. Each bar is around 190 calories, 7 grams of fat, 24 carbs, & 6 grams of protein.
2. Dukan Oat Bran Granola Apple Cinnamon: For a healthy snack with a big crunch, we love the new Dukan Oat Bran Granola – Apple Cinnamon. As a part of the Dukan Diet system, a high protein, low fat, low carb 4-phase diet created by French doctor Pierre Dukan that encourages people to eat real foods in order to reach and maintain their true weigh, this new low carb, low sodium, low fat and low calorie granola is a healthy, more nutritional granola for those who are following the Dukan Diet as well as anyone else looking to watch their weight and eat healthier. I loved how lightly sweet these vegan bags are as well as how they are packed with healthy ingredients like oat bran, flax seed, real cinnamon, and the all-natural, zero calorie sweetener Lo Han, which comes from monk fruit. Perfect for travel or summer snacking, these new bars will keep you energized throughout the day.
3. Cascade Ice Waters: For beverages we are loving the new Cascade Ice Waters line featuring 21 delicious and unique flavors including Cranberry Pomegranate, McIntosh Apple and Orange Mango in addition to the line’s three newest flavors, Strawberry Banana, Coconut Mango and Coconut Pineapple. Free of anything unnecessary and unhealthy, Cascade Ice beverages are sugar-free and full of flavor that also feature a nice “fizz” with its natural flavors. We have also been loving them as ice cubes that is the perfect (and refreshing) beverage for summer. Check out this full map of retailers: http://cascadeicewater.com/wtb.html

4. Dole Fruit Squishems: A delicious and quick snack for travel is our new favorite portable squeezer, DOLE Fruit Squishem's. This is a great way to stay healthy and fueled this summer with these resealable, squeezable fruit pouches that contains one full serving of all-natural fruit from fresh USA apples. We recently tried this and it included a line of three delicious flavors including apple, Apple Mixed Berry and Apple Strawberry - all of which are only 60 calories, gluten free, and are made with BPA free packaging. DOLE Fruit Squish’ems are available at retailers nationwide for a suggested retail price of $2.79 per package.
