Happy Friday! There is something so simple and fun to having a game night with the family. From classic board games to snack ideas, here are some of our favorite ways to enjoy family time with no tech.
1. For younger kids, we love Monopoly Junior where kids 5 and up can learn how to play this classic game as they move around the board and collect properties. Monopoly Junior money is in the form of $1 bills to help teach valuable counting skills. Newly sculpted tokens of the Scottie Dog, Cat, Battleship and Racecar bring these iconic tokens to life for even the littlest players. Monopoly Junior retails for approximately $14.99. Another favorite is Disney Pop-Up Magic where kids 3 and up can experience the magical worlds and stories of some of their favorite Disney characters with the launch of Pop-Up Magic. This spring children can relive some of the most exciting moments from these treasured stories with the launch of Disney Princess Castle: Pop-Up Magic Game, Disney Princess Cinderellas Coach: Pop-Up Magic Game and Disney Tangled: Pop-Up Magic Game. The Disney Princess Castle Pop-Up Magic Game retails for approximately $19.99. Disney Princess Cinderellas Coach and Disney Tangled Pop-Up Magic Games retail for approximately $12.99 each.
2. For some educational games, we love the collection of educational play ideas from Lakeshore Learning. Some of our favorites for family game night include the The Allowance Game®, Synonym & Antonym Safari Adventure Vocabulary Game and Word Problem Games Library - all of which that are thought-provoking and educational.
3. We love Scrabble, a classic word game that also has so many educational benefits. Hasbro recently teamed up with teachers and community leaders to create School SCRABBLE Clubs where kids in 4th through 8th grades, can play this game in pairs - making it even more fun when they play high value letters on a triple word score! High fives for everyone! As a family night idea, we love the classic game and variations for younger kids with our favorites being SCRABBLE Junior and Scrabble Alphabet Soup.
4. As for food, we like to keep it healthy with some of our favorites for younger kids being the purple carrot & blueberry puffs from Happy Family and assortment of snacks from Boxtera. This includes a line of healthy snacks that are delivered right to your door with some of our favorites being the Wholly Wheat Raspberry Bars, Mango Chews, and BBQ Banana Chips - all of which have no trans fats, artificial sweeteners, artificial flavors or artificial colors! We also love the new raw snacks from Wondefully Raw including their Brussel Bytes and Snip Chips. The Brussel Bytes are deliciously made from organic Brussels sprouts and pumpkin seeds that come in delicious flavors like Chili Pumpkin Seed Crunch and Tamarind Apple Crunch. I also love the Snip Chip that include a combination of organic parsnips and coconut oil that come in tasty varieties like Cheesy Herb Truffle, Chipotle Lime Cilantro, and Dill Pickle.
