Friday Finds: Cute Toys and Gadgets for Kids

Toys for Kids

We don't write that much about toys but there are some that catch our eye for their innovative features and cool designs. With the holidays coming quicker than we would like to think, we've rounded up some of our current favorites to add to your kids' wish list.

1. Cabbage Patch Kids: We are starting with a classic who just celebrated their 30th anniversary. To kick off the celebration, JAKS Toys introduced the super cute Cabbage Patch Kids® Celebration ‘Kids, a line of dolls that are dressed in fun, playful, party themed fashions and brightly colored hair streaks. Each girl also comes with a sweet cupcake comb and each boy comes with a pair of stylish glasses. Each ‘Kid comes with the iconic baby powder scent, a unique, one-of-a-kind name, Adoption Papers® and Birth Certificate.

2. FirstBIKE Balance Bike: My daughter has been loving her new balance bike from FirstBike that has been helping her with her riding skills, coordination, and general sense of adventure! Already a market leader in Europe, FirstBIKE is brand new to the US and offer kids ages 2 to 5 years old the ease of having a comfort, lightweight, and bike that is super easy to mauveur. Personally, I love how light this bike is as it glides with ease as well as how easy it is to adjust the height adjustment (simply with a turn of a knob) and how it grows with your child until they’re ready for pedals.

3: ClickN KIDS: With so many apps, devices and programs out there for kids, it is hard to find systems that are unique and educational. However, we recently discovered such a device with ClickN KIDSa multi award-winning educational content provider that is actually designed for both kids and adults. Costing under $100, this system features more than 30 premium pre-loaded applications including Talking Tom 2 and Talking Ginger, Diversion, Team Awesome plus the multi-award winning Looney Tunes™ Phonics program. The educational features are also incredible with their 100 interactive-reading lessons featuring Looney Tunes Phonics that engages and educates kids. Older kids and parents will also love it since it is also a full-featured Android tablet, complete with WiFi, front-facing camera, music and streaming video players. Additionally, the ClickN KIDS curriculum is based on recommendations from the National Reading Panel and was developed by nationally recognized early education research professor J. Ron Nelson, Ph.D. Dr. Nelson is also Director of Curriculum Development for ClickN KIDS.

4. B. Toys: We love the fun toys from B. Toys where babies and kids can explore through world of creative, bright and lively toys. Some of our favorites are the Pet VetPop-Arty! and the Meowsic with many more options that your kids will love!

5. Spherovelo: We are so excited about the Spherovelo, an incredible balance bike for kids 1-2 years old. This early learner system connects young children to their senses (vision, pressure, equilibrium) and their motor systems as they learn how to coordinate their baby muscles to what they see and feel. Avaiable in cool colors like white, mint, red and blue, the Spherovelo is a great way for an early rider to be safe as they develop and assert some control.

6. Sassafras Enterprises: What started with a Deep Dish Pizza Set exploded into oategories over the years. For kids, we love the their cool crafts with the Paint Your Own Garden Gnome and their musical instruments with the Western Tambourine and the Stripe Ukulele, among many other cool toys for kids.
