Easy Kid Snack: Fruit and Cheese Flowers
There is one snack that my kids and I always agree on...and those are mini Babybel cheese wheels. They love being able to open those cute little packages themselves and I love that they're getting in some protein when they eat them. And since Baybel is so popular in our house, I decided to present one of their favorite snacks in a fun way, complete with a little fruit and veggies action to boot!
With a seven and three year old at home, we're in the picky stage of eating, so I have to be creative about sneaking in foods that they usually turn their noses up at...and certain fruits and vegetables definitely fall into that category. Presentation goes a long way with my kids...I'm sure we're not the only family to find that to be the case! If it LOOKS fun to eat, they're more likely to eat it. Bright colors and cool shapes are where it's at!

1. Peel as many Babybel cheeses as you want flowers.
2. You will need 5 orange slices per flower, so peel those accordingly. (I used a little less than one whole orange per flower.)
3. Slice a green pepper into thin slices.
4. Assemble your flowers.
I told you this was one easy snack! It's the kind of snack that would be perfect for your summer play dates. You can put together several fruit and cheese flowers in mere minutes. All I can say is, get ready for the cheers! My babies were thrilled with this snack and I didn't have to slave away in the kitchen to impress them. Score! Less time cooking and more time spent savoring those precious summer moments with my family is A-ok in my book!
