If you have a playroom without proper storage then I don’t have to tell you about the chaos that ensues in such a space. I personally moved my children’s toys into the playroom with the intent to close the door and forget about it. That only worked for so long before I was ready to pull my hair out due to the large mess that greeted me every time I opened that closed door. As a result I embarked on a journey to find storage solutions that would serve dual purposes and efficiently corral wayward toys, and art supplies keeping price and space in mind.
Here are a few ideas for storage solutions that can easily serve double duty in a playroom.
Ikea Bookshelf Turned Seating
Turn an Ikea lack shelf on its side to create cubby storage for toys and books. Make or purchase a seating cushion to put on the top for playroom seating.
Game Art and Storage
Colorful wall art makes a playroom space. Why not use your children's board games as art. Affix the pieces to the back of the frame to make sure they stay together neatly.
Under Shelving Storage
Add a hanging rod or hooks under shelving to hang dress up clothes, book bags.
Rolling Seating and Storage
In a smaller space rolling seating and storage is a great idea. Its not permanent, and can be placed in an area of the room to make the best use of the space depending on the need at the time. This rolling ottoman is not only mobile but serves as seating and storage.
