As my due date nears, I have started to really prepare for life with a new baby. I have my diaper bag out and ready to fill with all the goods and necessities teeny tiny "B" will need. (for help choosing your diaper bag-visit my post on my favorite diaper bags to suit every style and need!) So what does this third time mama have in her new, sophisticated OiOi diaper bag?
Well, first we need to talk about the bag! This patent leather tote is all about beauty, function and carrying all that you might need for you and baby. With a spacious (H:16.5", W:12.5", Gusset: 7") interior, I know I will be able to pack up my three children for the day, and have everything I need to meet their needs (and mine!) in one convenient place. With fold out changing mat, several interior pockets, over the shoulder handles and stroller hooks, the Oioi Patent Tote let you organize your things as you need. It also comes with a wipes case, and insulated bottle holder. Hardly your typical looking diaper bag, this sleek tote is perfect for your baby days and beyond.
A peek inside:
Aden & Anais: Organic Muslin Swaddle Blanket- I just can't talk about these enough. Theses organic muslin blankets are versatile. I will use them to swaddle baby, as a nursing cover, an extra layer, for tummy time, and a stroller blanket/sun shield. They wash super easily, are thin, comfortable, soft and large enough to handle many jobs at once. and Did I mention the sweet prints?
Babyganics: Although we cloth diaper, having Babyganics non-toxic, chlorine-free pulp disposables and wipes, in my diaper bag giving a little insurance this mama needs. NO latex, toxins, petroleum-based lotions, fragrance to irritate or harm your baby, Babyganics diapers absorb well, have good closure tabs and offer a good fit at an affordable pricepoint. You still get a soft, convenient diaper that works well but is better for baby and the environment. I also keep a stash of their chlorine-free Hands, face and baby wipes in my bag too. Safer than traditional disposable wipes, and effective on messes of all kinds-you can safely use them on baby's face, hands as well as bottom.
Baby Mantra: It is always a good idea for this green and natural mama to carry around a chemical, and toxin free wash for baby. The 3-in-1 Baby Bubble Bath, Shampoo & Body Wash from Baby Mantra is versatile, smells heavenly and leaves the skin utterly soft. ( a little goes a long way and is perfect for skin of all ages!) I love that I can conveniently buy it while I am out and about in my local Walgreens. (It's also available online.)
Belly Armor: Since all of my work is online, I will want to shield baby from radiation as much as I am able while breastfeeding. There are many nursing covers from which to choose, but I favor the one from Belly Armor with RadiaShield®. It is not fancy, but it provides discreet, generous coverage and is 99.9% effective at shielding radiation from cells phones, laptops and other devices, protecting my baby while I work.
Burt's Bees: Did you know the line known for creating more natural baby products, also has an organic line of clothing? Love the soft, organic cotton onesies from Burt's Bees, perfect for layering and the inevitable clothing change.
Earth Mama, Angel Baby: By far the best (store-bought) bottom balm I have tried. Perfect for scrapes, cuts, diaper rash, as well as a protective barrier for baby's bum. A little goes a long way of this soothing, totally organic healing balm. NO toxic ingredients, smooth, heavenly fragrant and super effective.
Mom Picks for Best Modern Wooden Play Gyms
Let's be honest: Most baby gyms look like a primary color explosion of yikesness. And yes, I owned one and found it an absolute lifesaver at that bewitching hour when every child under 1 starts crying right when you need to be cooking dinner. But whenever company arrived, I would ...read more

Halo: No diaper bag will be packed unless, an extra set of clothes was neatly tucked inside. We love the full layette set from Halo. This 100% certified organic cotton layette is available in two simply adorable prints and comes with all baby's essential needs from a sweet hat to the Halo® SleepSack® wearable blanket, all pieces are free of chemical dyes, softeners and finishes.
Kushies: For just the size and shape burp cloths, we love Kushies organic burp cloths. Made from soft, organic cotton, Kushies burp cloths are absorbent without being bulky and are contoured to fit more comfortably over the shoulder. Until breastfeeding is fully established, you'll also want to pack extra organic nursing pads. We like the 100% organic cotton, easily washable, stay in place ones offered by Kushies.
LifeFactory:Keeping hydrated is essential for nursing mamas, and making sure the water you drink is as free of toxins as possible is equally important. We trust LifeFactory glass water bottles (fully protected with a silicone sleeve). They come in a variety of sizes and colors, and now have different, interchangeable tops so you can choice the one that suits you best. I love that the glass bottles I will use for baby will grow as he/she grows by simply switching the top to a sippy spout and later on to a screw top.
Messy Marvin: The “NO NEED TO LAUNDER” bib from Messy Marvin comes in five reversible choices, wipes clean in seconds, offers great coverage and is NOT plastic! Boasting that it dries almost instantly, and is both rinseable and wipeable, the Messy Marvin bib will keep your little one clean and lessen your loads of icky, sticky bibs!
Mini Med Kit (au natural): I always kept a mini Medical Kit in my diaper bag too. I keep it stocked with things like triclosan-free hand sanitizer, bandages, tissues, Hyland's teething tablets (good for soothing cranky baby-teething or not), emergency numbers, and a natural topical pain relief cream like the one from Topricin.
Pish Posh Mommy: For stinky cloth diapers, wet clothes, dirty bibs and burp cloths, I have my wetbag packed and ready to go. The generous size of the wetbag from Pish Posh Mommy lets me contain the messy items in a neat, leakproof not to mention stylish way!
Skip Hop: Of course, a sweet toy makes any diaper bag complete. For first pals, soft rattles, and sweet plushies to delight and entertain your little one. Skip Hop has an adorable line of baby toys.
Uber Mom: For a baby wipe case that really stands out, choose a design that suits you from Uber Mom. With over twelve prints to choose from, not only will your case make a statement about you but it will save you from buying those wasteful mini packs of wipes.
