With Easter around the corner, I thought it would be a great time to talk about what to wear this Sunday...specifically, casual outfit ideas for you fellow mamas and your daughters. I decided to go the casual route because we're all about comfort in our house. Sure we get all dressed up on Easter, but after church service, it's time to change into our play clothes...That doesn't mean our casual Easter outfits can't be cute, yet suitable for JUMPING around in though right?!
My baby girl is just as into fashion as I am, so she loves it when we style our outfits together. Thank goodness for that..because this mama can't get enough of mommy and me style and I know the time in which she cooperates is fleeting. I'm guessing she won't be clamoring for my fashion opinion forever. Haha! That being said, when I say coordinating I don't necessarily mean matching. Sticking with a similar or coordinating color palette is perfect for mommy and me dressing.
Take the large scale cobalt print of my tie dye maxi dress (that I got in my Thirty Something Fashion The Box Service box) for instance. It looks great next to my daughter's turquoise top and hot pink pants look thanks to the tassel necklace that features similar colors as my baby girl's outfit, including her adorable June & January bow. And on a side note...If I'm going literal with our holiday dressing, I try to pick out pieces that can be worn after said holiday has come and gone. There may be a bunny on my kiddo's Jojo Maman Bebe tee, but that bunny will be totally cute as part of spring and summer outfits apres Easter! As would her canvas shoes. They're perfect for the warm weather months as well. I'm all for multiple wears!
So, what does your family Easter style look like? Do you like to switch out your Sunday best for more casual Easter outfits too?
