produce is at its absolute PEAK right now. It's the time to prepare fresh veggies and fruit with ease and simplicity. When it comes to cooking, the farmer's market is my muse. As I prepare some of my summer harvest favorites, I'm sharing a little secret, what you put ON the veggies matters as much as the veggies. Here's what no one tells you about olive oil--you CAN taste a difference.
I'm going to share a few of my favorite end of summer recipes, but first, I want to tell you about my pick of olive oil. Kosterina's Original Extra Virgin Olive Oil my go-to oil for all my salads.
We go through a lot of EVOO with all the cooking, baking, roasting and grilling that goes on around here. The Everyday is made from 100% Koroneiki early harvest olives from Southern Greece, with a polyphenol (or antioxidant) content of over 430 mg/kg as measured at the time of harvest – that’s over 8-10x what you can find in an average bottle at your local supermarket.
Kosterina's Original Extra Virgin Olive Oil is crafted with cooks in mind, the Everyday has a mild, fruity flavor with a smooth finish that will not overpower your food. It's perfect for the veggies and fruit I'm finding at the market...tomatoes, fresh herbs and peppers. Try Kosterina here and get 10% off your first order.
