It's a never-ending battle in my house to be and stay organized. Being a working mom with 2 kids and a husband. We all have busy schedules. I'm sure many of you can relate. With this in mind, I created a giant family calendar with Post-it® Notes from the new Post-it® Brand World of Color collections, color coded for each person and their activities.

My goal with this calendar is to keep all the different activities and appointments organized in one place.

Post-it® Notes Color Coded Family Calendar

For this project I used Post-it® Super Sticky Notes in 3x3 size from the Post-it® Brand World of Color collections and Post-it® Full Adhesive Rolls.

The World of Color collections features Post-it® Notes available in a range of vibrant and exciting colors, inspired by nine cities around the world, including Marseille, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, Bora Bora, and more.

First, I started by finding a big empty space. I had a blank wall by my front door that was just the right size for my giant calendar. I made 7 columns down using the Post-it® Full Adhesive Rolls. I used 2 Post-it® Super Sticky Notes from the Post-it® Brand World of Color collections to give me a rough estimate of how big to make my columns.

Using the Post-it® Full Adhesive Roll in a different color, I then made rows to create an outline for my days of the week. Again I moved my Post-it® Super Sticky Notes along with me to guide how big I needed to make each row.

Once I had my calendar outlined, I labeled my days of the week and what month it was with more Post-it® Full Adhesive Roll pieces. That's what is great about the Post-it® Full Adhesive Rolls, I was able to get the exact size I needed each time. No hassle of cutting with scissors, the easy-to-use dispenser does it for you.

Once everything was labeled it was time to start using the Post-it® Super Sticky Notes for the activities.

I chose specific colors for each person that weren't too similar so that it would be easy to look at the calendar and see who is doing what. I used the beautiful yellow and blue hues from the New York City color collection to represent me and my my husband. My daughter chose the soft pink color from the airy Scandinavian inspired Helsinki color collection for herself. Lastly, we chose the vibrant green hues from the paradise inspired palette of the Bora Bora color collection to represent my son's activities as well as our family events.

I created my calendar on the large empty wall by our door. If you don't have enough space to do the whole month, you could always do a smaller, weekly calendar using the same concept and products.

Create your own color-coded calendar with these Post-it® Products

I already love Post-it® Notes for organization, but now with the new Post-it® Brand World of Color collections, Post-it® Notes come in an array of bright and beautiful colors, drawing inspiration from nine destinations around the world. I used Post-it® Super Sticky Notes from the Bora Bora, Helsinki and New York Post-it Brand World of Color collections.

My favorite in the new Post-it® Brand World of Color collections is the New York City color collection. It pulls inspiration from the city's steel and stone skyline and bright yellow taxis.

Post-it® Full Adhesive Rolls. These are great. I used these like tape to outline my calendar and since it's made by Post-it Brand it’s like paper on one side and fully adhesive on the other, it attached to my wall easily and I could write the dates and days of the week on the other side.
