If you're anything like me, you love to entertain, but you don't relish all the preparation and cleanup that can go along with hosting your friends and loved ones at your home. All that work is totally worth it in the end, but there's no reason you can't make the dinner party preparation and clean up process a little easier!
Here are some ways that have helped me streamline my dinner party planning...
1. Map out everything the night before. That means nail down your menu, write up your shopping list and even decide which serving dishes you're going to use. If you can, do your shopping a day in advance, as well, to cut down on stress the day of your party.
2. If you're planning on creating anything for your tablescape, do that the night before also. For an upcoming party, I decided to make a tri-layer DIY fall centerpiece out of popcorn kernels and dried beans. I simply placed a candle in a square glass vase and then poured in the popcorn and beans in layers. Even though this centerpiece was quite easy to make, making it before the party date will still be a time saver.
3. Relax. That is probably going be difficult for some of you. I know I tend to be a little on edge when I have people coming over...but the truth is, they're coming over because they want to be with you and there is no reason to put so much pressure on yourself to make everything perfect.

Now that we've talked about party prep, let's talk about the aftermath. Cleaning up after a party is not exactly my favorite thing to do, but there are definitely things that can make it less unpleasant. A good dishwasher is clutch. Take the Electrolux Stainless Steel Dishwasher with IQ-Touch™ Controls (EI24ID50QS) for instance...
This powerhouse dishwasher gives you a professional level clean in just 30 minutes. Don't even think about hand washing all those dishes. You deserve to put your feet up after playing hostess with the mostess! If you really want to get fancy, you can run your dishes through the dishwasher after each course, so you don't have so much to do at the end of the night. Another cool feature is that there is a third level rack for your utensils, so you have a spot for those spatulas and unique kitchen tools that tend to take up too much space. And you can't go wrong with a stainless steel tub! Am I right? Stainless steel makes me confident that dishes are getting a high level cleaning.
