I have been on a de-cluttering mission. In just January alone we donated 3 car loads of old items to various charities with more bags being complied every weekend. While going through out closets we also discovered boxes and boxes of CDs. Since I use iTunes, or even have a CD drive anymore, I don't have the need for all of these CDs. Enter Decluttr, a a new online service where you can sell your old DVDs, CDs and games and make money for them!
How it works is simple. You enter or scan the barcode from your CD, DVD or game to get an instant value, send selected items using free shipping service labels; and then receive a check in the mail.
The need for this type of service is greater than ever. According to a recent study, 62 percent of respondents ranked the ability to sell media in one place/at one time the most important feature of this type of service, and 66 percent said the ability to get cash for different items through one website/account is equally important.
"Today, if a consumer wants to sell DVDs, CDs, or video games, they either drive to a store or list and ship products one-by-one on an online platform," said Brett E. Lauter, president, U.S., Decluttr. "Decluttr is simplifying this process with three-steps scan it, send it, spend it. Consumers go to one site, list all their items and receive a fair value through an objective, real-time pricing system and print out their free shipping label."
