This just in...Charlie Brown Christmas for 2015.
The U.S. Postal Service begins celebrating the holiday season by dedicating the Charlie Brown Christmas Forever stamps Oct. 1. The booklet of 20 stamps features 10 still frames from the 1965 TV special “A Charlie Brown Christmas” (two of each design) celebrating the classic’s 50th anniversary.
The stamp images include: Charlie Brown holding the sapling that eventually becomes his Christmas tree; Charlie Brown and Pigpen with a snowman; Snoopy and children ice skating; the cast of the program gathered around the Christmas tree; Linus kneeling by the sparsely decorated Christmas tree; Charlie Brown checking his mailbox for a Christmas card; Charlie Brown and Linus leaning on a snowy brick wall; Charlie Brown and Linus standing by the Christmas tree; a frustrated Charlie Brown standing in front of Snoopy’s doghouse; and, Charlie Brown decorating the tree in front of the prize-winning lights display on Snoopy's doghouse. Art director Antonio Alcalá Alexandria VA, designed the stamps.
Does anyone else get super excited about the Post Office's release of holiday stamps each year? I already have holiday cards on my mind as I recently booked our holiday family photo shoot. Each year we have family pics taken that we use to make our holiday cards and as much as I love styling our holiday outfits and scouting photo shoot locations, I also adore selecting the special stamp that will adorn the cards I worked so hard on!

This year's Winter Fun stamps didn't disappoint! From a whimsical snowman and snow angel making kiddo to romantic pair of figure skaters and, my personal favorite, a scarlet red cardinal, the stamps definitely evoke holiday charm. I was certainly happier after looking at them and, hopefully, my loved ones will feel the same when they find my family's holiday cards adorned with my stamp of choice in their mailbox!
“As these stamps grace envelopes that travel around the world this holiday season, we hope they will also deliver messages of love, peace and joy to those receiving their holiday mail,” said U.S. Postal Service Global Business Vice President Gisele Valera in dedicating the stamps. “The new Global Holiday: Silver Bells Wreath Forever stamp can be used to mail a 1-ounce letter to any country where First-Class Mail International service is available — ideal for extending seasonal greetings to your friends in other countries,” she said. “And, our new Winter Fun stamps convey the joyful spirit of the holiday season while sending cheerful greetings for any occasion all winter long when mailing in the U.S.”
If you're looking for something even more traditional, the Silver Bells Wreath Forever Stamp is for you! This is a contender for me as well...Once we've designed our cards, I'm sure I'll know which stamp fits.
