We are in the mist of a allergy season, and for so many allergy suffers. During a recent event, we learned that Academy Award nominated actress and star of hit new series, "About a Boy," Minnie Driver is also an allergy sufferer. She didn't want her allergies to get in the way of her life, so she started taking Claritin.
This natural partnership was a great way for Minnie to talk about how the product has changed her life as well as kick off a new national cause campaign, “Be a Claritin Trailblazer." Sponsored by the makers of Claritin products in support of Rails-to-Trails, a non-profit organization that converts old railroad lines to public walking, hiking and biking trails with the mission of building healthier places for healthier people.
This incredible organization that has already built 20,000-plus miles of rail-trail throughout the country with more than 9,000 miles of potential rail-trails waiting to be built. Claritin is helping out by donating $50,000 to their mission to encourage healthy lifestyles and for everyone to become a “Claritin Trailblazer" in their life. You can also help out by interacting and commenting on the Claritin Facebook page from now through June 1, 2014 where they will make an additional donation (up to a maximum of $10,000).
During the event, Minnie also unveiled a new (and very funny) video that she made with Claritin to show how you can be a trailblazer - despite having allergies. This includes a video of her hugging trees, being with kittens and being near dust.
Check out the video, Minnie's "Red Carpet Trail" on how Claritin has helped her blaze her own trails:
