Like most busy moms with kids in school, I get sick way more than my schedule allows. Any time those precious little cherubs of mine bring a bug into the house, this girl gets it...and usually twice as bad as they do. It’s tough being a mom sometimes, but I digress...Haha! Every year I say I’m going to do everything I can to avoid those pesky germs and every year, like clockwork, I come down with something. In fact, I just recently came back from a bug that lasted two days for the kids and four days for me. Needless to say, I don’t have high hopes for flu season. Le sigh.
So, this year I’m taking a different approach. I’m still planning on doing everything I can to keep my family healthy this flu season, like making sure we stay active, eat a healthy diet and wash our hands regularly etc...But I also plan on being prepared. And thanks to CVS, it’s super easy and convenient to pick up some necessities for a flu season preparedness pack. I’m talking about things for the kids like children’s acetaminophen, throat relief pops (which you can see is my little lady’s favorite) and nighttime herbal tea. I’m sure I’m not the only one who can’t always take sick days, so products like the ones you see in my kit are life savers people!
I know none of us wants to get sick, but just in case our preventative measures don’t take care of things this flu season, it pays to be prepared. If you sign up for the CVS Extra Rewards Program, you’ll get personalized emails based on your shopping habits. So, you’ll always be reminded to keep that flu season preparedness pack good and stocked! And with the CVS Pharmacy App, you’ll have all the helpful offers you need right at your fingertips. What did we do before we could handle all our business with smarthphones? Haha!
You didn’t think the help CVS has to offer us this flu season ended there, did you? You can even head to your local CVS Pharmacy for a flu shot! While most of us, a whopping 90% according to a CVS Pharmacy flu survey, try to protect ourselves from catching the flu, only half take advantage of the flu vaccine even though it’s the most effective way to avoid that dreaded bug. And they couldn’t have made it any more convenient for us. With flu shots available every day and even on the weekends, there’s no reason to not get one. You don’t even need an appointment! Plus, if you enroll in the Extra Rewards Program I mentioned you’ll get a 20% off CVS Shopping Pass once you get the flu shot at a CVS Pharmacy or MinuteClinic in most states. So, what are you waiting for?! Our families have no time to give to the flu this year!
