What a day--and the conference hasn't even officially kicked off! At the gym this morning I saw some of my blogging pals on TV at the Today Show--check them out here. Later in the day, Team Momtrends packed up all our goody bags for our yoga event. Our premiere sponsors gave great swag. Thanks to Yogaworks, Puma and Maclaren. More treats were provided by Totsy.com, Basqnyc, and ProBar. And a big thank you to Icelandic Glacial and YouCake for our water and cookies.
Our intimate group of yogis (hurrah for new friend from Ashlie from MommyCosm) were treated to an incredible one-hour class. The vinyasa flow class was just what the doctor ordered for weary travelers and multi-tasking moms. We dimmed the lights and gave our limbs and muscles some TLC.
Spring Skiing at Mount Bachelor, Oregon

I've been coveting this Eugenia Kim sun hat that's been all over Instagram for the past two months. With a wide-brim and the words "Do Not Disturb" embroidered on the front, it's the ideal accessory for a quiet day of reading on the beach. Built-in shade, some peaceful privacy, ...read more

After a quick shower in the deluxe changing rooms at Yogaworks, it was off to the corporate offices at Ralph Lauren--my old employer. The ladies at Mom Central organized this cocktail party. We saw a stirring movie about Ralph's life as a designer and toasted the beginning of the conference with champagne and then we met the sweet faces behind RL's latest children's campaign. These kids were beyond cute and you'll be hearing more from me about all the latest things in the Polo Ralph Lauren world as I begin blogging as a Ralph Lauren Ambassador.
From there, I made my way back to Brooklyn--but with a detour in Nolita (that's North of Little Italy). This time it was an informal gathering hosted by the lovely ladies at CoolMomPicks. Kristen and Liz ordered up a tasty feast and I finally had the chance to sit (ah, those 3" heels were starting to hurt).
Thank you one and all for making this first day a memorable one.
