Trista Sutter is one of my favorite “reality moms.” Really it’s not fair to tag her as a reality star. Since
, she’s proven to have talent and poise way beyond her peers. When OFF! gave me the chance to interview Trista about parenting and the great outdoors, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.
Trista is working with OFF! to celebrate the benefits and importance of getting outside with the kids this summer. As a former physical therapist, an outdoor enthusiast and as a mom, Trista is passionate about the importance of spending time outdoors, especially with her family.
In my private group chat on Skype, we got to ask Trista about how she plans to spend the summer. Trista told us that she lives in an outdoor paradise in the Vail Valley. She shared that there’s going to be camping in her future. The bloggers asked Trista what she planned to bring to fend off the bugs. The clip-on and the toilettes were her favorite OFF! products to make trips less itchy and scratchy.
We got Trista to open up about her parenting style. She tries to limit screen time and shoots for nightly family dinners with her two kids.
I asked Trista about summer camps. My older daughter is heading off to sleepaway camp and Trista had some cute suggestions to fend off the homesickness. First, she suggested I add little notes tucked into her camping gear. Like a little “I love you” inside sleeping bag with a stuffed animal to go with it. I also asked about what bug protection to pack. Here are Trista’s favorite products:
OFF!® CLIP-ON™MOSQUITO REPELLENT is a sprayless invention. It works with a quiet, battery-powered fan that circulates odorless repellent. Within minutes, the clip-on creates head-to-toe protection for up to 12 hours.
OFF! BOTANICALS®TOWELETTES These moist towelettes use a plant-based repellent (the same ingredient found in eucalyptus plants) and according to Trista have a lighter scent. I like the portability--you're more likely to use a bug spray if you have it with you! This product is specially formulated to effectively repel mosquitoes, black flies, gnats and no-see-ums for up to two hours.
