As parents, we help foster early language attempts from our little ones, telling them to “Use Your Words,” as the way to communicate their wants and needs to us and the world around them. Part of lifting our children, both physically and emotionally, takes that extra bit of energy we have as parents, pushing through our own limitations every day to be the best that we can be and leading by example with our own healthy habits. As a reminder to ourselves to be active adults and to help introduce our kids to healthy lifestyle, Words to Sweat by™ (a health and inspirational fitness line for women) has introduced their first health and fitness-inspired apparel collection for children, aptly titled, Use Your Words™.

“Use Your Words is my way of adding a humorous spin to the daily challenge of parenting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, featuring mantras we can use to encourage ourselves and our children. I thought it would be fun to turn these little sayings on their head and have the kid’s shirts ‘instructing’ the parents on how to stick with their health and fitness goals,” said San Francisco area entrepreneur and Use Your Words creator Dana Lardner.

This colorful collection of t-shirts and one-piece style body suits offers encouraging mantras like, ‘Kick Asphalt,’ ‘Your Pace or Mine?’ and ‘You Lift Me Up,’ to remind parents to be as active as possible while introducing their children to a healthy lifestyle through playful imagery and catchy phrases. On her inspiration for this new kid’s collection, Lardner added that, “When I first designed my Words to Sweat by-exclusive health and fitness graphics, I knew I would want to use them across a variety of products. Earlier this year, I began to pair these sassy sayings with the images to create the Use Your Words apparel collection for kids.”
