Despite waking to near freezing temperatures this morning, we are totally ready to gear up for summer. The kids are already into the thick of the spring soccer season and we're making the most of warmer days by hitting the parks around base. Max still sits in a stroller on occasion, but it's not the most practical option. For his age (3), a wagon is the way to go. And it doesn't get much more practical and perfect than the new Radio Flyer Ultimate EZ Fold Wagon. The wagon is made for summer life on the go.
The marquee feature of the stroller is certainly the fact that the wagon folds quickly and compactly. It's a full size wagon that carries two kids and folds all the way down to a narrow and easy to load size - 31 inches by 12 inches wide by 23 inches tall. After removing the UV protection canopy, it only takes one hand to pull up on a handle and trigger the folding mechanism. I use two to push it all together and pop it into our van. The back of our van is shockingly narrow but the EZ Fold Wagon fits inside easily. It's great to take along to the soccer fields so Max has a place to sit or go for a ride when he needs a change of scenery.
Radio Flyer didn't skimp on other features at the expense of a compact fold. The wheels are a study 8 inches by 1.5, allowing for a smooth and easy ride. Almost more important to parents, the wheels are big enough to make it easy to pull along - even with two three year olds weighing it down. The handle also telescopes - put it down when folding and pull it back out for a longer and more comfortable pulling position.
So we know it's convenient for parents, but kids love the ride, too. Max and his buddies pul the wagon up and down our street and hop right in for walks to the park. The two full size stroller seats have a seat belts for safety and seat backs for comfort. There are also four cup holders - two inside the wagon for kids and two on the handle side for parents.

Spiked Apple Cider Pops
September in the South is, in my opinion, still summer. The eighties and nineties always prevail and make the traditional fall flavors that I crave so much slightly out of reach. As much as I want to relax and sip on some hot cider, at the moment, I still need something iced. ...read more
