Living in a close military community means I get to attend a lot of baby showers. Seriously, you wouldn't believe the amount of babies born in on our little base every year. I'm anticipating a bit of a baby boom this summer, too, because it's about ten months after a big group of Airmen returned from deployment. (It's true! We're not the only military family to have a post-deployment baby!) All those wonderful baby showers, though, means lots of baby shower gifts. And even though this is totally in my comfort zone, it feels a little overwhelming because I always want to give just the right gift.
Giving the Gift of Sleep
Thanks to some help from Pampers, I think I've finally found the perfect gift for all baby showers whether it's for a first baby or third, boy or girl. The foundation of the gift is a couple packs of diapers and wipes. Not the most exciting, admittedly, but it's the most practical - something you know the recipient will use and appreciate. Particularly so when you gift Pampers Baby Dry diapers. With overnight dryness in mind, Baby Dry diapers provide 12 hours of protection. Baby won't wake up because of a leak, that's for sure. My babies always slept better with their lovey blanket and a noise machine. The cloud b Sleep Sheep is a great option and this minky blanket is perfect for a boy or girl. And, finally, you can never have too many planes on an air base so I have a stock pile of wooden airplane teethers to gift.
The baby shower gift mixes everything - practical and thoughtful with a personal touch.
Thanks to Pampers, we were able to provide the gift of sleep to even more expectant mothers in our military community. With a generous gift card, I stocked up on diapers and wipes and gifted them to random new and expectant moms. As I said, there is no shortage of pregnant women and babies on our military base. You can't turn around without bumping into a baby bump or stroller. I just love playing diaper fairy and you can't beat the good ol' ding, dong diaper ditch!
Wishing You a Silent Night
We know it's not easy, but hopefully with the right diaper on your babe, you can get a more restful night's sleep with a silent, sleeping baby.
