Kids love getting mail and we love monthly subscription boxes for them. When our Blossom Box Kids box arrived for my daughter squealed "Oh I got mail!". When I told her it was a craft box, she was even more delighted!

Each Blossom Box is a themed box and includes 3 crafts or activities, a recipe, a bonus item and a newsletter.

"We believe in simplifying life, slowing down a little, and embracing the present moment. It is our intention to provide you and your child with a box filled with possibilities and wonder, a beautiful conversation starter, and an invitation to slow down and connect."

The supplies for each activity comes in a little brown bag. Our box was a color themed box and our first activity was textured watercolor painting. It included 2 watercolor papers, 3 packets of color, a paintbrush and salt. The little instruction card gives you a guideline on how to start the craft. From there, kids can take the lead and let their creativity shine by making the craft their own.

My kids had fun mixing the colors with water. My daughter got into the painting right away. Swirling together the paints and watching the colors blend together. The red and yellow were nice and bright but I think we diluted our blue too much, it barely showed up. The salt gave it some texture.

The second craft package that we opened from our box was a mini tie-dye kit. There was a handkerchief, 3 packages of dye, and a squeeze bottle included for this activity. We took this one outside. It was fun making a design with the dye. We even used some of the extra dye to tie dye her white shirt from our backyard Holi Color Party.

The yarn weaving activity was a fun and rewarding one. It's been labeled as the favorite with my 6 year old. It was simple and sweet and turned out so cool. She's already made plans to teach our neighbor how to create her own.

"We’re committed to using non-toxic, natural materials and the impact on our environment is always a main factor when choosing our supplies. We also love repurposing common household items and objects found in nature to make crafts and would like to provide you with some ideas and inspiration for those via our newsletter and blog here on our site."

We got a little messy making our own homemade glue with the sun catcher activity. We hung the prism in her window and enjoyed watching the rainbows appear and move around her room with the sun.
