Music Review: Best Kid's CDs of 2010

Image placeholder title

If you're a parent, you know that your child's music taste can get a little, well, repetitive. One can only hear the same song in a row so many times before it begins to make you crazy. We here (hear!) at Momtrends fully understand and have compiled a list of our top artists who have made the children's music world a much happier place for adults to live in.

We're not claiming to have the cure of getting that one song out of your head, but we do have some great picks that will delight your child--and you won't mind listening in either. Stuff a few of these CD's into the stockings or load-up the MP3 player before you head to grandma's house for the holidays. We promise you'll thank us.

Grand Prize Winner:
The Pop-Ups--Outside Voices
Alternative rock fans will adore this. Fave track: Subway Train

Runner Ups:
The Dirty Sock Funtime Band---Sock-A-Delic
Super fun lyrics to a catchy beat, these songs won't make you nuts. Over and Over Song: Music Everywhere

The Laurie Berkner Band--Best of the Laurie Berkner Band

Her sweet voice reminiscent of Karen Carpenter delivers fun and fresh tunes like our favorite: I'm Gonna Catch You

Sugar-free Allstars-Funky Fresh and Sugar Free

For the funk/ska fan, these guys put a new spin on spunky-punky beats. We dig: In My Pocket

These tunes just might keep you from going insane over the winter holidays and well into the new year.

Momtrends was not paid for this post. We get about three free CDs a week. We listen to them all and try to pick the best.
