On Sunday, December 12th Lifetime Television is premiering the first of a two part movie special starring Lucy Liu called "Marry Me". Lucy Liu stars as Rae Ann Carter, a single aspiring-artist-turned-social-worker who always wanted a fairy-tale romance '?? to fall madly in love and live happily ever after. But when her two-year relationship falls apart, Rae unexpectedly falls for a new man, Luke (Steven Pasquale), who asks her to marry him after a few short dates.
Just as everything seems to fall into place for Rae, her ex-boyfriend Adam (Bobby Cannavale) suddenly re-emerges into her life with a proposal of his own. Things get even further complicated when a third man (Enrique Murciano), smitten by Rae, enters the picture and asks for her hand in marriage, as well. With three men after her heart, who will be Rae'??s Prince Charming?
To get into the spirit of the movie, we threw a little shower too! We were offered to host a "viewing party" for the movie, and invited 10 of our friends to join in the fun. We all found ourselves laughing at Lucy Liu's humor and natural ability to be charming and adorable. There were many parts of the movie that were easy to relate to, whether it was ourselves or a friend in similar relationship scenarios. Definitely a romantic comedy, this movie is a perfect example of why women are drawn to everything Lifetime has to offer.

As a part of the viewing party, we were given plates, champagne glasses, utensils, lovely catered food items and fun, wedding themed goodies to send home with our guests. We raffled off some prizes including the new book from Party Blueprints, "Plan to Party", and and a copy of '??Cake Pops: Cake Pops: Tips, Tricks, and Recipes for More Than 40 Irresistible Mini Treats'? by Bakerella. Our super lucky friend Andrea even went home with a $50 Macy's giftcard.
