About Momtrends

Some fashionistas refuse to give up the high heels even after the kids come along. That's the case with Nicole Feliciano, Editor and Founder of Momtrends.

After graduating from Vanderbilt with a degree in English Literature, Nicole ventured into the (sometimes) glamorous world of advertising. In 1997, she switched gears and went to work for Ralph Lauren--combining her business acumen with her love of fashion. It was a match made in preppy heaven. In her seven year career with the luxury brand, Nicole managed retail stores and eventually landed a coveted position at the corporate headquarters in NYC. Sitting in on design meetings with the big guy was pretty heady stuff. There was only one thing that could cause her to leave that sweet discount and glamorous lifestyle behind...

Love. When Mr. Momtrends came along, Nicole knew something had to give. 70-hour weeks and last minute meetings were not going to fly with a young family. And so the fashion maven embarked on her next career as a freelance writer and began contributing to Babble.com, Time Out New York Kids, and many more online and paper publications.

With these writing credits under her belt, she decided to jump into creating her own resource--a blog for hip moms who didn't want to leave their style in the delivery room. Momtrends launched in 2007 and continues to provide the latest news on things trendy and cool for families. Momtrends is packed with practical information and shopping tips aimed to help busy, style-starved parents find the best gear for their family. Each month offers a theme (January is Fitness Month, February is Expecting Moms' Month, etc.). In addition to thematic features, you'll find: regular tips for living well and making the most out of parenthood, profiles of inspiring Momtrenpreneurs, cooking links, fashion trend alerts and tons of great giveaways and reviews.
