Coca Cola Cocktail: Kalimotxo Recipe

Last week I waxed poetic about my affinity for 2-ingredient cocktails. Well, this week I'm continuing on with the trend and sharing yet another drink that you can make with, you guessed it, just two ingredients. The Kalimotxo cocktail comes from Basque-Country and is an iconic drink that you can find served all over the world. And it just so happens to be made up of two of my favorite drinks...Coke and red wine!

I'm headed to Europe this month and before we settled on the countries we're visiting, we researched the Basque region. It may not have won out this trip, but a trip to Spain is definitely in the works...With cocktails this good, how could I stay away? Haha!

Coca-Cola (I prefer Mexican Coke)
dry red wine

Fill a glass with ice, add 3 ounces of dry red wine and fill up the rest of the glass with Coco-Cola.

This just might be the easiest cocktail I've tackled yet. It's so easy, you can barely consider it a recipe. I know a soda and red wine combo might sound a bit odd, but if you like red me...You'll like this! Plus, I don't know about you lovelies, but I'm a sucker for anything with bubbles. Haha! And on a side note...this is the perfect drink to make with two buck Chuck. Mixers can give a helping hand to inexpensive wines that might not taste as good on their own. Just sayin'.
