Today in the WSJ the Personal Journal focuses on Online Recipe services. A new one to me was Allrecipes.com. It got high praise for budget-friendly recipes. So I went to check it out. The site is very easy to navigate. I especially liked the sidebar options. Pick: Pork, Chick, Trusted Brands, Kid-Friendly and more.
I checked out the Pork section. Under Pork it then divided the options into 30-minutes meal, Healthy & Delicious and Variety. I opted for Parmesan Pork Tenderloin. 10 ingredients (many of which I have on hand). Prep time 15 mins. Cook time 10 mins. ready in 25. Sounds perfect.
Features I love:
- Can calculate ingredients for different servings sizes (want leftovers--calculate on 6 servings instead of 4).
- Recipe Box: Allows you to keep track of favorite recipes.
- Add to Shopping List: A presorted list to take to the store--genius!
- Nutritional Information: Always good to have.
So tomorrow night I will give this a whirl and report back.
