When I think about holiday traditions, one word comes to mind...And that word is family. My sister and I have made it a point to carry on family traditions that have been around since we were small. You may remember when I mentioned that Hickory Farms has been a part of our holiday spreads for years. Well, that tradition goes beyond Christmas. You can bet that you'll find some Hickory Farms sausage on our New Year's Eve and New Year's Day tables too! Haha!
Hickory Farms can become a part of your holiday celebrations too! Their high quality, fresh products make wonderful holiday gifts. From large and in charge baskets to delectable boxes of chocolates, their vast variety of specialty foods and holiday food gifts come in a variety of price points meaning that you can find something perfect for everyone on your holiday shopping list this year! Take some Hickory Farms goodies to your holiday hostess' house and you just might start a new tradition.
Little traditions like our favorite Hickory Farms appetizers matter to me because it feels like we're carrying on a family legacy in a way. By keeping traditions around that my sister and I, and even my mother, have had since we were little, I feel like my kids will take little pieces of us with them and those pieces will live on long after we're gone. My hope is that they will carry on our favorite family traditions with their own families someday!
And another important tradition of ours is giving back...We try to devote our time and resources to at least one charity during the holiday season, so we love how Hickory Farms makes giving back a priority too! They support support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Share Our Strength is a non-profit organization that is working to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. I'd call that a worthy cause...Wouldn't you? You can support it by picking up a Party Planner gift box. For each one sold this holiday season, HickoryFarms will donate $5 to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign!
So, what are your favorite holiday traditions lovelies?
