At last week's Foodie Event, we got to play with purees. This Friday we're sharing our recipes. We teamed up with Petit Organics (an NYC purveyor of fresh organic purees) for our feature today. One of the favorites from the night, was Crostini with Apple Puree and Brie. This is a recipe that is terrific for entertaining.
Yield: 30 pieces
¾ cup apple or pear puree
1 lb Brie, rind trimmed
30 crostini pieces
1. Preheat oven to 350 F
2. Spread one side of the crostini with the puree
3. Top with a small ½ oz slice of Brie and bake in over to lightly melt cheese. Option to add a sliver of apple or pear. Serve warm.
