A New Year's Eve Dinner Worthy Dessert

We typically stay in on New Year's Eve. It's easier than trying to find a babysitter and the past few years we've celebrated with the whole family at our mountain retreat, so it's not like we're missing anything by not going out on the town. In fact, I daresay our NYE festivities rival any restaurant, bar, club and what not. What I like most about what is quickly becoming a tradition, is that we each contribute a dish to our dinner.

My mom will probably take care of the main dish, which will be prime rib if I have anything to say about it. Haha! My sister, brother in law and hubs will most likely bring the appetizers, salad and side dishes to the table...We all have our strengths. Mine happens to be the final course. That's right....I'll be taking care of my specialty, dessert. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and while I don't eat dessert all the time, when I do...I make it count!

Luckily I have a new secret weapon in my dessert makin' arsenal. The Delonghi MultiFry's exclusive Surround Cooking System and automatic mixing paddle allow you to prepare healthier fried foods as well as delicious favorites, like DESSERT! I tackled carmelized Pineapple served over ice cream, an easy, yet delicious recipe from the cookbook included with the multifry and it was so delicious and so pretty, I immediately deemed it New Year's Eve Dinner Worthy. Plus, it's the kind of thing that both the adults and kids will love, which makes this busy mom very happy. It's always a win when you can please everyone.

I highly suggest you check out the Delonghi MultiFry if you're a kitchen gadget fan...There is seemingly no end to what it can do! Just think...with it's help and a little butter, brown sugar, pineapple and vanilla ice cream, I was able to create a super chic dessert in mere minutes! You can buy your own for $249.
