We typically stay in on New Year's Eve. It's easier than trying to find a babysitter and the past few years we've celebrated with the whole family at our mountain retreat, so it's not like we're missing anything by not going out on the town. In fact, I daresay our NYE festivities rival any restaurant, bar, club and what not. What I like most about what is quickly becoming a tradition, is that we each contribute a dish to our dinner.
My mom will probably take care of the main dish, which will be prime rib if I have anything to say about it. Haha! My sister, brother in law and hubs will most likely bring the appetizers, salad and side dishes to the table...We all have our strengths. Mine happens to be the final course. That's right....I'll be taking care of my specialty, dessert. I have a bit of a sweet tooth and while I don't eat dessert all the time, when I do...I make it count!
