Winter Weekend Style: Two Days of Stylish (and Practical!) Outfits

With a 12 week old at home, there isn’t much distinction between weekdays and weekends. The days just blend into each other and time is one big blur. It could be Monday; it might be Saturday. But, one thing I know for sure: It’s definitely winter—and we’re still stuck inside.

There’s only so much you can do with a newborn in the midst of a snowy cold spell. We do leave the house for pediatrician appointments, preschool drop-off, and the occasional trip to Grandma and Grandpa’s house. But, for the most part, we’re homebodies. (It’s a good thing we like cuddling around here.)

Nevertheless, my weekend style has seriously suffered the consequences of our inactivity. I’m not proud to admit that I’ve been known to stay in the same pair of PJs for 48 hours straight. (My kids don’t judge. My husband, on the other hand...)

Luckily (for him), we’re about to reach the three-month milestone—and, so, we're slowly but surely rejoining civilization. We'll take trips to Target together or go to a family brunch on a Saturday. (Yes, bundling the kids up is no picnic, but a little fresh air and a coat of mascara will do the body—and the mind—good.) Of course, I’ll always enjoy our lazy pajama-clad Sundays, but I’m excited to reclaim my weekends... And my style.

To help inspire my weekend aesthetic, I’ve rounded up a few stylish picks for an active Saturday out-and-about and a quiet Sunday at home with the fam.

Ah, the weekend... I can hardly wait.
